Executive recruiter Connecting Excellence (XCE) increased net fee income by one-fifth to £890,000 in the six months to December 2025. There was cash of £1.4m and Bitcoin holdings of £2.62m (40.36 Bitcoin). Net fee income in January was £250,000. The Bitcoin holding has increased to 52.42 Bitcoin.
Residential property developer Zentra (ZNT) interim revenues fell from £1.97m to £942,000. The loss rose from £66,000 to £638,000. Net liabilities are £4.16m. Practical completion of the One Victoria project in Manchester is expected in the second quarter of 2026.
Mendell Helium (MDH) says potential acquisition M3 Helium is entering an agreement with Ritchie Exploration which will re-complete the Schneweis Ventures 13A well in Kansas.
Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) reported a dip in 2025 pre-tax profit from £35.1m to £24.2m. The total underlying dividend, excluding special dividend, was raised to 53p/share. Deposits increased by 11% to £4.57bn, although lending balances fell 6% to £2.25bn. Assets under management were 21% ahead at £2.68bn. Higher interest rates should be good for the bank. Chairman and chief executive Sir Henry Angest bought 300,000 ordinary shares at 860p each. He owns 59.9% of ordinary shares and 64.9% of the non-voting shares.
B HODL (HODL) net assets were £11.7m at the end of 2025. Since the end of the year, the Bitcoin treasury has increased to 164.487 Bitcoin.
EPE Special Opportunities (EO.P) had net assets of 360p/share at the end of January 2026. Fully listed investee company Luceco (LUCE) performed better than expected.
EDX Medical (EDX) is the primary partner in the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, which is set to improve early diagnosis. Up to 25,000 men will be tested.
Delta Gold Technologies (DGQ) says that Penn State University has been promoting the quantum computing research sponsorship and technology licence agreement with the company.
The WeShop share price on Nasdaq continues to decline and reached a new low of $5.81 at the end of the week compared with a high of $200. WeCap (WCAP) is a significant shareholder, and its share price dipped 27.8% to 0.325p.
Hamak Strategy has taken a 3.05% stake in Vaultz Capital (V3TC).
Sulnox Group (SNOX) has gained further patents for its Eco™ Fuel Conditioners in Chile, Peru and Israel.

AIM
Coiled Therapeutics (COIL), which was formerly Roquefort Therapeutics, has moved from the Main Market to AIM on 27 March after acquiring the global rights to a potential cancer treatment known as AO-252. This cost £31.9m in shares. AO-252 is “a brain-penetrant small molecule targeting Transforming Acidic Coiled-Coil Containing protein 3 (TACC3) protein-protein interactions”. Preclinical trials have indicated the effectiveness in tumour regression in some cancers. A placing raised £8.5m at 10p/share. valuing the company at £42.6m.
Monitoring and optimisation software supplier Checkit (CKT) says that its improving performance is not reflected in its valuation, and it is investigating a sale of the company. The company has received six expressions of interest from potential buyers in the past nine months. There are no current discussions with these potential acquirors, but Checkit believes it should give other potential bidders a chance.
Ireland-based cinema operator Omniplex has taken a 5.35% stake in Everyman Media Group (EMAN).
Carpet tiles manufacturer Airea (AIEA) is making progress with fully commissioning new manufacturing facilities that will double capacity. The business has been capacity constrained and delays in orders at the time of the Budget meant that 2025 revenues were flat at £21.4m. Operating profit before non-recurring items fell from £1.56m to £1.15m, although that partly reflects the loss of income from a property sold to help finance the increased manufacturing capacity. Net cash was £1.2m at the end of 2025 and the dividend was raised from 0.6p/share to 1p/share.
Growth in recurring revenues of the software division and a recovery in margins for the education services division enabled Tribal Group (TRB) enabled 2025 pre-tax profit to jump 136% to £12.5m. Annualised recurring revenues of the software business grew to £63m. There is growth to come from existing university and college clients before any new client wins. Strong cash flow meant that Tribal moved from net debt to net cash of £11.4m. Even after dividends, the cash position is expected to remain strong with the normal second half inflow.
Software and training services supplier Pennant International (PEN) has increased its recurring revenues and has orders that will help it to breakeven this year, following a loss in 2025.
Sustainable detergent additives supplier Itaconix (ITX) is making good progress towards breaking even. Revenues jumped from $6.5m to $10.5m in 2025 and there is capacity for this to increase to more than $25m. The loss was reduced from $1.8m to $1.1m with a $1.2m cash outflow from operated activities. European revenues doubled and new business in North America will flow through into revenues in 2026 and particularly 2027. There is more than $4m in cash in the bank, which is more than enough to get to cash flow positive. Cash generation could build up rapidly from 2027 onwards.
Shares in spirits brands owner Distil (DIS) halved to 0.045p following a trading statement outlining poor fourth quarter trading. Full year revenues will be well below expectations. Stock levels in the trade were higher than expected. Sales by the UK distributor are 51% ahead in the first two months of this year, but consumer spending remains depressed. The US launch of Blavod black vodka has been delayed due it still awaiting tax approval from the authorities. Marketing spending has been agreed with UK retailers to help sales to recover.
Litigation finance provider Burford Capital (BUR) announced on Friday afternoon that the US Court of Appeals had overturned the decision won by Burford’s Petersen and Eton Park concerning claims against The Republic of Argentina and YPF. There was a two to one ruling. Argentina had not made a tender offer when it took over a 51% stake in YPF from Repsol. The $16.1bn judgement was overturned.
Real-time video editing technology developer Blackbird (BIRD) lost contracts and that led to a decline in revenues from £1.61m to £1.38m in 2025. Cash burn was £3.01m after a reduction in costs. There was £2.72m in the bank at the end of 2025 and £500,000 has been subsequently raised. User engagement of elevate.io is improving and the Winter Olympics should have provided a boost to use of the editing technology.
Switch Metals (SWT) has announced the washing programme has been completed for the Issia tantalum and lithium in the Côte d’Ivoire. Laboratory assays and modelling is ongoing so that the maiden mineral resource estimate can be published. This had been expected in the first quarter of 2026.
Interim figures for Parkmead Group (PMG) had £12.9m in cash at the end of 2025 and since then the cash position has grown to £16.1m. This will provide funding for oil and gas and renewable asset investment. Up to £120m more can become payable for the past sale of UK North Sea assets depending on the approval of field developments.
Computer vision technology Seeing Machines (SEE) says that it expects to be EBITDA positive in the third and fourth quarters of the financial year to June 2026. Interim revenues dipped from $25.3m to $23.4m, due to planned reductions in non-core operations. Automotive royalties and aftermarket revenues both increased and gross margin improved to 58%. There will be a refinancing by June.
Small company finance provider Time Finance (TIME) increased own book lending to £86.5m in the third quarter. Nine months revenues are 4% higher at £28.3m, while pre-tax profit is up 5% to £6.2m. Net tangible assets are £48.5m. The lending book is worth £243.4m.

Greengage and Co Group plans to join the Access segment of Aquis in mid-December. It has developed a fintech platform that provides business-to-business introductions which generates subscriptions and fees. There are more than 40 active clients. The strategy is to expand this part of the business and buy Bitcoin to establish a Bitcoin Yield Reserve strategy. Greengage will borrow on a non-recourse basis using Bitcoin as collateral and uses the cash to invest in high-yield private credit portfolios. The returns from this will be put into the business and buying more Bitcoin. There will be a placing and retail offer. Coinsilium Group Ltd (COIN) owns 27,133 shares in Greengage. In August 2021, Coinsilium bought up to 15,000 A shares for £300,000 and invested £200,000 in convertible loan notes. Greengage was valued at £27.3m. In June 2023, the loan notes were converted and Coinsilium invested a further £25,000. The current investment is valued at £652,537.
Ajax Resources (AJAX) is raising £1.2m at 5.5p/share and acquiring the Pereira Velho gold project in Brazil from Appian Capital Advisory, which will receive in $200,000 in cash and $400,000 in shares. Appian estimates that there is a resource of 110,000 ounces of gold having drilled 10% of the area. Ajax Resources has also signed a conditional Option-to-Purchase Agreement for the Leon copper and silver project in Argentina. The EIS for the Eureka project in northern Argentina has been approved and exploration activities can commence. Chief executive Ippolito Cattaneo bought 106,000 shares at 7.75p each and executive director Richard Heywood 144,754 shares at 6.9p each.
Connecting Excellence (XCE) raised £500,000 via an oversubscribed retail offer ahead of its flotation on 11 December. A placing and subscription had already raised £2.8m at 2.1p/share to invest in its Bitcoin strategy. Leeds-based XCE is an international executive search company which owns the Spencer Riley brand. XCE has started an operation focused on recruiting Bitcoin experts for companies seeking to commence a Bitcoin treasury strategy or for Bitcoin businesses. The share price ended the week at 2.5p.
Pete Allaway increased his stake in Evrima (EVA) from 3.13% to 6.28% and Ventura Finance raised its shareholding from 6.15% to 7.42%.
Wishbone Gold (WSBN) plans to release assay results for the Red Setter gold dome project in Australia over the next few months. It will then formulate a plan for 2026. An application has been made to build a new access road, and this will make it easier to undertake drilling.
The WeShop share price has fallen to $116 over the past week, having fallen below $100 at one point. WeCap (WCAP) has an 11.8% stake and the share price slipped 15% to 1.7p.
Dermatology treatments developer Incanthera (INC) generated revenues of £6,000 in the six months to September 2025. Cash used in operating activities was £313,000. Cash was £215,000 at the end of September 2025.
Bitcoin mining company Sterling Digital (ASIC) has bought natural gas generators for Bitcoin mining operations. The next step is a gas purchase agreement. It raised £5m at 5p/share when it joined Aquis last week.
The new board of Eight Capital Partners (ECP) has reviewed strategy and intends to launch a mid-market merchant banking advisory and investment business for Europe. Middle East and Asia. The first investment fund should be launched in 2026. Digital asset investment products will be developed. D4R is taking a 29% stake and Monfor SA a 29.2% shareholding. Zentra Group (ZNT) has completed the disposal of Seaton House in Stockport at a loss of £140,000. Contactor disruption means that a new plan is required for the development of One Victoria, Manchester, where Zentra owns 30%. So far, 72 units have been sold.

AIM
US automotive electrical diagnostics tools supplier Power Probe (PWR) raised £11.2m at 82p/share and joined AIM on 11 December. The market capitalisation was £60m. Power Probe has developed a range of products including powered circuit probes, testing kits, measuring tools and other accessories. It has 64% of the US powered circuit probe market. In 2022, revenues were $25m, rising to $31.3m by 2024. EBITDA increased from $4.8m to $8.3m over the same period. The latest interims show revenues of $20.5m and EBITDA of $5.3m, helped by new products. The share price ended the week at 89.5p.
Business support services provider Restore (RST) has sold relocations business Harrow Green to PIckfords for up to £5.5m so that it can concentrate on its core operations with better prospects. Information management has inflation linked prices and the technology division’s performance is improving. There will be integration benefits for Datashred next year. Underlying trading is better than expected. Non-exec Patrick Butcher bought 19,076 shares at 261.7p each.
Dispute resolution service provider Diales (DIAL) continues to improve underlying profit, but there could be more to come if utilisation levels improve. Revenues were flat at £43m, but pre-tax profit improved from £1.2m to £1.4m. Net cash was £3m at the end of September 2025. The dividend is maintained at 1.5p/share. The core UK and European operations, which are the hub of the business, improved their profit as did the other regions, except for Asia Pacific which continues to make a small loss. Group utilisation rates are currently 71.6% and the company believes that this could reach 80%, but that will not happen immediately. A pre-tax profit of £1.5m is forecast for 2025-26 and cash could improve to £3.4m.
Education software and services provider Tribal Group (TRB) had a strong second half. Revenues are in line with expectations, but EBITDA is higher than the previous forecast of £15.5m. Net cash will be at least £5m at the end of the year. That will enable a special dividend of 1.5p/share and the shares go ex-dividend on 2 January.
Digital transformation business Made Tech (MTEC) increased interim revenues 27% to £27.7m and the full year will be better than expected. The contacted backlog slipped 8% to £74m, from what was a very strong level. Net cash was £11.9m at the end of November 2025. Full year pre-tax profit is expected to improve from £2.9m to £3.9m.
Geospatial software and services provider 1Spatial (SPA) has reached agreement in principle to a 73p/share offer by VertiGIS, whose products it already distributes. That values 1Spatial at £87.1m. Shareholders owning one-third of the shares are in favour of this level of offer. Management believes that VertiGIS will help to accelerate growth. A further announcement will be made about the progress towards a recommendation.
Oil and gas company Empyrean Energy (EME) had a cash outflow from operating activities of £440,000 in the six months to September 2025. There was cash of £3.06m at the end of September 2025. There are convertible loan notes valued at £9.84m. The interest rate is 20% and the conversion price is 2.5p/share.
Petro Matad (MATD) has received a farm-in proposal that would help to further develop Block XX in Mongolia. Due diligence has been caried out. Production averaged 350 barrels of oil per day in November. Petro Matad is still in discussion with PetroChina concerning the oil sales agreement.
Premier African Minerals (PREM) says J Goddard Contracting has demanded immediate payment of $2.3m. Total group liabilities are $62.1m. More cash needs to be raised.
Ghana-focused Alliance Lithium (ALL) says that the Ghana parliament has temporarily withdrawn the mining lease for the Ewoyaa lithium project. This relates to the consultation on the mining code and royalties.
Haydale Graphene (HAYD) has agreed to acquire Intelligent Resource Management, which trades as SMCC for an initial £12m in shares at a notional price of 0.645p each. This deal will add consultancy and project installation to Haydale Graphene’s energy transition technologies and provide access to potential customers. A placing will raise £5.91m at 0.5p/share and a retail offer could add up to £500,000. Octopus is converting £500,000 of convertible loan notes into 417.88 million shares.
Cinemas operator Everyman Media Group (EMAN) has been hit by disappointing box office for films in the second half of the year. UK admissions have declined in recent months. Forecast revenues have been reduced to £114.5m, while EBITDA has been cut to £16.8m, which is slightly higher than last year.
Digital loyalty and promotions platform operator Eagle Eye (EYE) has won another new US contract. It is with a large regional grocery chain that has 500 stores. There is a fixed fee for a six month proof of concept period followed by a three year contract.
MAIN MARKET
Kitchenware retailer ProCook Group (PROC) continues to outperform the market. There are strong like-for-likes plus new store openings. There has also been trading up to higher priced products, so average spend is higher. Interim revenues were 21% ahead at £34.1m. Opening costs meant that the loss edged up from £2.88m to £2.94m. Net debt was £4.1m due to investment in store openings, but the second half cash flow is much stronger. Both stores and ecommerce grew strongly after the period end, but ecommerce like-for-like growth was 29%, compared with 9.8% for stores, although that is still a good performance. There are 1.2 million active customers.
Public services provider Mears (MER) released a trading statement revealing that underling 2025 pre-tax profit will be at the top end of guidance.
Financial management software developer Aptitude Software (APTD) says there has been a significant renewal for Fynapse software. The US-based global communications company has renewed for three years and this is worth £7.6m.

AQUIS STOCK EXCHANGE
Wishbone Gold (WSBN) is the best performer on Aquis and AIM this week. The gold explorer says drilling at the Red Setter gold dome project in Western Australia has reached the top of a significant breccia pipe. Drilling has reached 777 metres, and the breccia pipe is 152 metres long. Drill core is being transported to be assayed.
Fibre optic cables materials manufacturer Unigel Group (UNX) increased interim revenues from £14.8m to £18.9m, while pre-tax profit improved from £1.28m to £2.03m. Cash was £2.41m at the end of June 2025. Tariff uncertainties mean that the outlook remains cautious.
Digital asset company Vaultz Capital (V3TC) has appointed James Bowater as global head of partnerships. He founded crypto publications Crypto AM.
Valereum (VLRM) has entered a memorandum of understanding with ZIGChain and DigiShares for a strategic collaboration to explore development of a scalable platform for real world asset tokenisation. Indirect investee company Nexstox Inc has been granted a Labuan Exchange licence, which is the fifth to be granted.
The Smarter Web Company (SWC) has appointed Jesse Myers as head of Bitcoin strategy.
NYCE International (NYCE) is planning to raise up to £150,000 at 0.2p/share. Chief executive Farzad Peyman-Fard plans to subscribe for at least two-thirds of these shares. The cash will be invested in games aggregation platform Nirmata Play and to develop games for crypto casinos. Also, money will be spent on performance marketing and advisory services. The subscription should close on 28 August.
Emissions reduction fuel additives developer SulNOx Group (SNOX) has secured a patent in Jordan, which has the second largest container port in the Red Sea. The patent covers a range of formulations.
BWA Group (BWAP) says that the initial sampling programme has been completed and there is evidence of heavy mineral sands mineralisation beyond holes analysed at the Dehane project in Cameroon. There is mineralisation from surface.
Oscillate (MUSH) had cash and short-term investments of £2.29m at the end of May 2025. This will be invested in mining projects.
Mendell Helium (MDH) says that M3 Helium has secured a land lease in Nebraska and drilling should start shortly. There are talks with potential partners to develop a plan for Bitcoin mining. There are preparations for dewatering at the Rost well at Fort Dodge, Kansas. The work has been under budget.
Non-board chief engineer Noah Deledda has pledged 21 million of his 69.7 million shares in CRUSHMETRIC Group Ltd (CUSH) as security for a loan.
Time to Act (TTA) executive chairman Chris Heminway bought 33,300 shares at 15p each. Vault Ventures (VULT) has completed a one-for-100 share consolidation. Prior to this Concreatd Ltd acquired a 3.98% shareholding. Mark Jackson has increased his shareholding in Evrima (EVA) from 4.13% to 5.14%.
ASSET MATCH
Greenshields Agri (GAH) says it expects to make a strong profit in the year to June 2025, helped by land sales. Estimated NAV is 160p/share after a marginal uplift in farmland value. Early grain yields appear promising. There are plans to approach companies about a quarry project that could transform earnings.
Brewer Wadworth and Company (WAD) says interim sales were 4% higher with own beer sales 9% ahead. EBITDA improved by 7%, although one-off costs will hit profit. Banking facilities will be refinanced in September and that should reduce interest charges.
AIM
MicroSalt (SALT) is gearing up to supply its third major customer. This will generate revenues in the second half and could generate $5m next year. There have been some delays in revenues because of changes in US regulations on food additives and the interim revenues figure is $900,000. Full year sales expectations have been reduced from $2.5m to $2m, rising to $6.7m in 2026. There was $900,000 in the bank at the end of June 2025.
Singer upgraded its forecast for Tribal Group (TRB) following the interim figures. In the six months to June 2025, revenues were 2% higher at £45.3m and pre-tax profit jumped from £600,000 to £5.6m. The core education software business is building up its cloud revenues and selling more subscription-based packages of products. Growth has been in the UK. Trading conditions are still tough for the Education services business Etio with a shortage of cash available for spending by universities and colleges in the US as well as the UK. Revenues declined but profit improved thanks to cost savings. Since June, more contacts have been won and annualised recurring revenues have reached £64m, although that includes £2.2m of revenues from older software where income is declining. Singer raised its 2025 pre-tax profit forecast to £10.8m.
Revolution Beauty (REVB) has ended its formal sales process and raised £15m at 3p/share. A retail offer could raise up to £1.5m. Co-founder Tom Allsworth is returning as chief executive, and the other co-founder Adam Minto, who still owns 15.8%, is returning as a consultant. The cash will be used to reduce debt, fund capital investment and pay for restructuring costs. There will be a focus on pricing policy, marketing and efficiency. Tom Allsworth, Adam Minto and largest shareholder Debenhams are acquiring a total of 298.8 million shares in the fundraising. Net debt was £29.7m at the end of July 2025. The credit facility will be reduced from £32m to £28m.
Fishing tackle retailer Angling Direct (ANG) increased interim UK revenues by 18% to £51.1m, with online revenues 21% ahead. Like-for-like sales were 14% higher. European sales edged up from £2.4m to £2.5m. The store in Utrecht was opened in May 2024. After investment and share buy backs net cash reduced to £12.5m. Trading is comfortably in line with consensus market expectations. The interim results to July 2025 will be published on 7 October.
Explorer and project incubator Power Metal Resources (POW) has sold its remaining 14.75% stake in tungsten project developer Guardian Metal Resources (GMET) to Duquesne Family Office for £13.6m at 55p/share. There was a £6.6m gain on book value. Power Metal Resources says it invested £1.9m in Guardian Metal Resources and it has generated £22.8m from selling shares.
Firering Strategic Minerals (FRG) has received notice that Ricca Resources is withdrawing from the earn-in for the Atex and Alliance lithium tantalum projects. These are on care and maintenance. Firering Strategic Minerals will not have to pay any money back to Ricca, but it expects Ricca to repay funds it advanced for the projects. Firering Strategic Minerals received a 10.6% stake in Ricca as part of the original deal.
Neo-natal medical devices developer Inspiration Healthcare (IHC) increased interim revenues by 41% to £24m and gross margins improved. During the period a $6m humanitarian aid contract was delivered. The sales momentum is continuing in the second half. Deliveries for the Middle East contract have started and should be completed in the second half. Net debt has been reduced by £1.6m to £6.7m.
Packaging manufacturer Robinson (RBN) increased interim operating profit by one-quarter to £2.04m on a 2% increase in revenues to £27.6m. Additional working capital increased net debt to £8.5m, but the second half should be a strong cash generator. The share price has been on an upward trend because of property disposals and profit upgrade.
Iron deficiency treatment developer Shield Therapeutics (STX) announced interim revenues were 177% higher at $21.4m. Total US prescriptions were 29% ahead at 84,000 in the first half. There was cash of $10.8m at the end of June 2025, but there is net debt. A full year loss of $18.9m is forecast for 2025. Cash flow could be positive by the end of 2025. Net debt could reach $36.3m at the end of 2025.
Empire Metals (EEE) has reported further assay results from the Pitfield project in Western Australia. This was focused on the weathered cap at the Thomas prospect. There are some of the highest titanium dioxide grades recorded at the project and many of them are more than 7% titanium dioxide. Nearly two-thirds of the drill holes had an average grade of more than 4%.
Pulsar Helium Inc (PLSR) has raised £3.72m at 23p/share and Universal Bancorp has raised its stake to 4.99%. The cash will be invested in developing the Topaz helium project in Minnesota. There are plans for ten appraisal wells. There will also be a preliminary economic assessment and resource update.
Aptamer Group (APTA) has released an update on licencing. There are multiple non-exclusive licence opportunities for the first enzyme-modulating Optimer. Initial sales forecasts have been provided by one potential licensee, and this could cover 15% of Aptamer’s overheads. A second enzyme-modulating Optimer is at a final development stage. There has been positive feedback concerning Optimer evaluation from a top five pharma company.
Animal treatments developer Animalcare (ANCR) has acquired the VHH NGF programme and related assets that were under a licence agreement with Orthros Medical for €700,000. The programme is assessing the effectiveness of antibodies in the treatment of pain caused by osteoarthritis in horses and dogs.

BATM Advanced Communications (BVC) has sold non-core operations so that it can focus on core networks and cyber technology. Interim revenues improved 3% to $60.4m, while underlying pre-tax profit fell from $3m to $1.6m. That excludes the $4.3m loss on discontinued activities. There was a strong performance from the remaining diagnostics businesses and networks revenues are growing. A new product launch will help cyber. There was $27m of cash in the balance sheet.
Ikigai Ventures (IKIV) plans to acquire Dotlines Global and Audra Solutions for a total of £67m in shares and move to AIM. The businesses are based in Singapore and Malaysia and are involved in cyber security, AI and fintech. Pro forma revenues are £22m and EBITDA is £1.7m. Trading in the shares has been suspended.

Voyager Life (VOY) says M3 Helium, which it has an option to acquire, has commenced production at the Smith and Nilson wells and they will begin to generate revenues after being attached to the Scout Energy Partners gathering system. Once production is stabilised the helium content should be around 0.635%. The Rost well is the next to be brought into production.
Time to ACT (TTA) has separated Diffusion Alloys into a coating technology business, including the low-cost modular coating equipment being developed, and the plant-led coatings business in Middlesborough.
Kondor AI (KNDR) is considering a bid for Ora Technology (ORA) based on 0.9988 of a Kondor AI share for each Ora Technology share with the latter’s shareholders owning 53.4% of the combined group. The group would be worth £38.5m at the current suspended share prices. There is no certainty that the bid will be made.
EDX Medical (EDX) has entered an agreement with Oxford University to in-licence intellectual property developed in Oxford and Birmingham Universities in research funded by Cancer Research UK. The IP can be used to improve the test for safety and dose management for patients receiving 5-fluorouracil and other chemotherapy medications that carry serious side effects.
Equipmake (EQIP) says that an electric bus has started operation in Argentina, and it uses the company’s zero emission drivetrain. The bus operator DOTA plans to add to the electric bus fleet.
Vinanz Ltd (BTC) has started a new Bitcoin cluster in Texas and once the initial miners are up and running consistently more will be installed. This follows 100 Bitmain Antminer S19J Pro ASIC Bitcoin miners in Labrador, Canada.
Phoenix Digital Assets (PNIX) has bought three million more shares at 4.15p each. There are 3.5 million shares held in treasury. Toro Consulting’s stake has moved above 21%.

Oil and gas producer i3 Energy (I3E) is recommending a 13.92p/share bid from Gran Tierra Energy. The offer is one Gran Tierra Energy share for every 207 i3 Energy shares and 10.43p in cash for each i3 Energy shares. Shareholders will also receive a dividend of 0.2565p/share. The bid, based on a Gran Tierra Energy share price of $8.66, values i3 Energy at £174.1m. Gran Tierra wants to diversify its current Canadian resources.
TV and film services provider Facilities by ADF (ADF) has made the significantly earnings enhancing acquisition of Autotrak Portable Roadways, which hires portable roadways. This also diversifies the client base into outdoor events. The initial payment is £13.1m in cash and shares. Up to £8.2m of additional consideration is payable depending on EBITDA up until 2027. Cavendish has increased its earnings forecast for 2025 by 12% to 9.7p. The company raised £10m at 50p/share to fund the acquisition and could raise up to £500,000 from a retail offer, which closes on 29 August.
Maritime AI technology services provider Windward (WNWD) generated organic growth of more than 30% with a reduction in churn. Annualised recurring revenues reached $37.2m at the end of June 2024. Reported interim revenues were $17.6m and the ARR covers the rest of the expected revenues for this year. Maritime Invest Scandinavia has sold its 5.73% stake and West Elk Capital bought 4.99%.
Pawnbroker H&T (HAT) reported continued growth in pawnbroking, although higher than expected redemptions hit revenues, as well as improved performances in retail and foreign exchange. Gold purchasing and scrap is benefiting from the high gold price. Pre-tax profit was 13% higher at £9.9m. From now on, pawnbroking scrap will be reported with the pawnbroking division. The year-end will be changed to September from 2025 onwards.
Education software provider Tribal Group (TRB) can focus on the business now that a settlement has been reached with NYU. The latest figures were held back by the failed bid, which led to delays in client orders. Annualised recurring revenues improved 2% to £52.1m. The educational market is tough, but Tribal’s admissions software is still likely to be attractive to colleges and universities.
Recruitment company Empresaria (EMR) had a tough first half with like-for-like net fee income 15% lower, partly due to currency movements. It does not appear that trading will improve much in the second half. Even the outsourcing business, which has been the star recently, reported a decline because of less UK healthcare business. Cost savings will offset the decline in income in the second half and pre-tax profit is expected to improve from £3.5m to £4m.
Digital cognitive assessment technology developer Cambridge Cognition (COG) maintained interim revenues at £5.6m and the loss was sharply lower. A full year pre-tax profit of £100,000 is forecast for 2024. Expectations are underpinned by an order book of £14.6m.
Data analytics software company Rosslyn Data Technologies (RDT) has secured a three-year contract with a major technology company. This has a minimum value of £2m. Management says that the 2023-24 loss will be lower than previously forecast, but at £3m it will still be higher than in 2022-23. Before the latest deal annualised recurring revenues were £2.3m. William Black and Armstrong Investments reduced their shareholding from 10.4% to 9.51%.
A weak advertising market meant that first half revenues of media analysis company Ebiquity (EBQ) fell 7%. That hit operating margins, which slumped to 6%. Net debt is £15.3m. The second half should be much better, although just how good it will be will depend on trading in September and October and high operational gearing means that additional revenues will lead to a much bigger jump in profit.
Neometals (NMT) is lowering annualised overheads by two-fifths and the $3m at 4.5 cents/share raised from William Robert Richmond should last until the end of 2025. The focus will be the Primobius recycling operations. Net cash will be $9.3m and this will finance the company’s lithium-ion battery recycling business to the industrial validation stage. The Previous Metals Recovery option will not be taken up. Third-party funding is being sought for new lithium and vanadium technologies.
Touchstone Exploration (TXP) has declared the terms of its bid for fellow Trinidad-focused oil and gas producer Trinity Exploration and Production (TRIN) are final and says that it has irrevocable acceptances of 38.9% of the share capital. These irrevocable acceptances are obliged to vote against the rival, higher bid from Lease Operators.
Empire Metals (EEE) has identified a new deposit at the Pitfield project in Western Australia that adds to the value of the project. It is enriched with high-purity anatase formed from the weathering of the original titanite-rich, bedded sediments. The discovery also confirms high grades of titanium dioxide with very low impurities. Anatase is a feedstock for titanium chloride and titanium metal markets. Empire Metals continues to progress towards a maiden mineral resource estimate.
Nigeria-focused gold producer Thor Explorations (THX) sold 23,600 ounces of gold at an average price of $2,309/ounce in the second quarter. AISC was $802/ounce because of higher grade ore and guidance for the full year has been reduced to $900-$1,000/ounce. Quarterly revenues were $54m and EBITDA $38m. Net debt has fallen to $2.7m.
Electric hybrid systems developer Proton Motor Power Systems (PPS) says that its principal lender and major shareholder Falih Nahab will stop providing working capital at the end of 2024. At the end of July 2024, Proton Motor Power Systems has drawn down €110.4m out of debt facilities of €121.5m, plus it owes €37.8m in accrued interest. The facilities are repayable by the end of 2025, but the business is unlikely to be cash generative by then. There are talks with other potential providers of finance. Net liabilities were €111.7m at the end of 2023.
Recruitment software developer Dillistone Group (DSG) has raised £300,000 from a loan note issue from directors and £60,000 from a placing at 8p/share. Interim figures will show an improvement in profitability and cash generation. Markets continue to be weak, and the cash will provide a buffer for the business. The loan notes last 48 months and offer an annual interest rate of 9.85%. The conversion price is 14p/share.

Packaging manufacturer and distributor Macfarlane Group (MACF) reported an 8% decline in interim revenues to £129.6m. Pre-tax profit was 3% lower at £11.6m. There was price deflation in the distribution business. Acquisitions increased manufacturing revenues but there was small decrease in profit contribution.
BATM Advanced Communications (BVC) reported flat interim revenues due to lower revenues from networking technology, but the outlook is more positive. In the six months to June 2024, revenues dipped from $60.2m to $60m, while pre-tax profit improved from $726,000 to $788,000. This was helped by the revaluation of a liability that reduced the total costs of the business in the period. Net cash was $27.2m at the end of June 2024, even though there was an increase in working capital. Cyber and diagnostics revenues grew, while networking revenues fell from $11.6m to $6m. New orders are being won in the networking division and there should be an improved second half.
MOH Nippon (MOH) was readmitted to the Main Market following the acquisition of its business by cash shell Bowen Fintech. The business provides crowdfunding services for real estate investment in Japan.

Samarkand (SMK) says revenues will be slightly lower than expected – with a decrease of up to 4% – but the ecommerce services provider’s EBITDA will be halved in line with expectations. Owned brands generated 46% of revenues with the decline coming in third party brands. Samarkand has acquired Optimised Energies, which has brands Natures Greatest Secret and BeNatural, for £600,000 in cash and deferred consideration of £700,000. The acquired company made EBITDA of £300,000 last year. Executive directors have lent £400,000 to the company for fund the acquisition.
Aquis-quoted Phoenix Digital Assets (PNIX) is proposing a tender offer of up to £33.7m at a share price of 5.39p/share. That covers up to 57.9% of the current share capital. The tender price is equivalent to the current NAV since the recovery in Bitcoin and adjusted for potential tax. The tender offer is open until 13 June. The company has available cash of £40.6m. Phoenix Digital Assets also has 17.4 million shares in Flex Labs Inc (FLEX) after it acquired AI software company IO+ PTE, for 110 million shares in total. Supernova Digital Assets received 771,930 shares in Flex Labs.
Brewer Adnams (ADB) improved 2023 sales 3% to £66.3m, but the pre-tax loss increased from £2.3m to £4m. Net debt was £15.9m at the end of 2023 and there is still some headroom in the loan facility despite the review of how to finance the long-term future of the company. Off trade volumes were 14% higher. First quarter group sales were 11% ahead. Cost pressures are easing.
Flow battery technology developer Invinity Energy Systems (IES) raised £56m at 23p/share via a placing with £25m committed by the UK Infrastructure Bank and £3m from Korean Investment Partners. The open offer raised an additional £1.38m out of the £6.6m of shares that were on offer.
Arbuthnot Banking (ARBB) says trading is in line with expectations, although loan growth has been minimal. Specialist lending has been growing faster.
Metals One (MET1) has terminated the farm-in agreement with Gunsynd (GUN).
SuperSeed Capital (WWW) reduced the outflow from operating activities from £306,000 to £144,000. The NAV of the fund of funds company improved from 97.31p/share to 113.33p/share. That was helped by an unrealised gain of £297,000.
Paul Ryan has sold his 3.9% stake in Mortgage Chat (MCAI). Non-exec CP Freeman bought 500 shares in Hydro Hotel, Eastbourne (HYDP) at 948p each.
AIM
Telecoms testing equipment supplier Calnex Solutions (CLX) reported 2023-24 revenues two-fifths lower at £16.3m and it fell into loss. The final dividend was maintained at 0.62p/share. The telecoms market remains subdued, and Calnex Solutions is moving into new markets, such as defence. The distribution agreement with Spirent ends in July, but management is advanced with its plans to replace this source of income. Net cash declined to £11.9m because of higher inventory levels and capitalised R&D. A return to profit is expected this year and the cash level should be maintained.
Automotive interior components supplier CT Automotive (CTA) returned to profit in 2023, while net debt was reduced to $3.8m. Liberum expects underlying pre-tax profit to improve from $8.3m to $10.2m in 2024, even though revenues are forecast to decline. Improved efficiency is helping to boost margins. The Mexico factory is operating at 50% of capacity so there should be further improvement as this figure increases.
Bigblu Broadband (BBB) has sold its Nordic operations to management – including Bigblu Broadband chief executive Andrew Walwyn who is stepping down – at an enterprise value of £1.3m. There could be contingent consideration. Finance director Frank Waters becomes chief executive. The disposal leaves operations in Australia, which could be sold or floated on the ASX, and a stake in Quickline. Cavendish forecasts a 2023-24 pre-tax profit of £3m.
Coatings company Hardide (HDD) has appointed Matt Hamblin as the new chief executive, who has been a non-exec and previously ran a similar coatings business. The interim figures had been flagged. The pre-tax loss increased to £960,000. Lower depreciation means that the full year loss will not be as high as originally thought and it could be similar to the interim loss. Hardide has been EBITDA positive for the past two months. There is cash of £700,000 in the bank.
Another strong trading statement from Kinovo (KINO) with profit and cash ahead of expectations. The property services provider says 2023-24 revenues were £64.1m and net cash is £400,000The pre-tax profit estimate has been raised from £5.8m to £6.1m. Next year’s profit forecast has been raised from £6.3m to £6.6m. Most of the costs relating to the guarantee for DCB have been paid.
Energy and water efficiency services provider Eneraqua Technologies (ETP) reported 2023-24 results in line with the trading statement earlier in the year. The business moved from a pre-tax profit of £10.1m to a £6m loss because local government contracts were delayed. Cost savings have been put in place and additional work has been won so Eneraqua Technologies could move back into profit this year. A change of government could lead to additional incentives for energy saving projects.
Education software and services provider Tribal Group (TRB) has finally reached a settlement with Nanyang Technological University. This dispute has been hanging over the business for years. Tribal Group will pay £3.1m over 18 months. A further exceptional charge for the dispute will be taken in the first half of 2024.
MRI device developer Polarean Imaging (POLX) launched a heavily discounted placing, subscription and open offer. The placing and subscription raised £8m at 1p/share with £2m of that invested by NUKEM Isotopes and £1.6m by Bracco – both existing investors. Up to £2m could be raised from an open offer. The cash is being used to accelerate commercialisation of the XENOVIEW technology and further development.
Pennant International (PEN) has raised £1.51m at 25p/share. The training and software products supplier is trading in line with expectations, but order conversion has been slower than anticipated. The cash will fund the development and integrations of software products.
Watkin Jones (WJG) returned to profit in the first half to March 2024. The student accommodation and rental property developer generated an improvement in revenues from £153.9m to £175.1m. There is no dividend as cash is conserved. Borrowings have been reduced and net cash is £44m.
B90 Holdings (B90), which provides online marketing services to the gaming sector, says Oddsen.nu, an affiliate that is part of the group, has secured fixed listing fee marketing agreements that will generate income of €200,000 during 2024. There could be additional income on top of this based on marketing performance.
Scientific instruments manufacturer Judges Scientific (JDG) says that there is unlikely to be a material revenues contribution from coring contracts at the Geotek subsidiary. The potential contract is unlikely to commence until near to the end of 2024 and then make a significant contribution in 2025. Trading is subdued against tough comparators. WH Ireland still expects a full year pre-tax profit of £33.8m, although that assumes a stronger second half.
Secure payments company PCI-Pal (PCIP) has been successful in the Court of Appeal for the unfounded case brought by Sycurio against its patents. This means that £1.1m of cash should be released from escrow. The finding upheld the original court judgment. PCI-Pal will seeking further costs. The full ruling will become available in a few days.
Piling contractor Van Elle (VANL) expects 2023-24 revenues to be £140m, which is a like-for-like reduction of 12%. Last November, Rock & Alluvium was acquired, and its volumes are 30% higher than pre-acquisition. Housing and infrastructure sectors are expected to recover and a move into energy transmission will help the overall improvement for the business. The order book was worth £36.8m at the end of March 2024. Net cash is £5.5m.
Healthcare communications technology developer Feedback (FDBK) says delays in the NHS procurement process means that 2023-24 revenues will be lower than expected at £1.2m. Management hopes that the contracts will be secured in 2024-25. There was still £4.3m in the bank at the end of April 2024.
Chamberlin (CMH) has been placed in administration. Coal miner Bens Creek (BEN) has also gone into administration.
Victorian Plumbing (VIC) has acquired rival Victoria Plum for £22.5m. The business had been in administration and costs are already being reduced, so it should break even in the second half.

James Gundy, chief executive of shipbroker Braemar (BMS), bought 6,600 shares at 290.5p/share following the full year results. Pre-tax profit fell from £18m to £14.6m on maintained revenues. The total dividend was raised from 12p/share to 13p/share. The new financial year started with an order book of $82.6m.
Power products supplier XP Power (XPP) received an indicative bid approach at £19.50/share. XP Power has rejected the proposal by Nasdaq-listed Advanced Energy Industries.
Admiral Acquisition (ADMR) has agreed to buy critical asset integrity and testing services provider Acuren for $1.85bn from American Securities. The business generates EBITDA of $190m.
Associated British Engineering (ASBE) had net assets of £391,000 at the end of March 2024, including cash of £419,000.

S-Ventures (SVEN) has agreed to sell its food and snacks business in return for shares in AIM-quoted RiverFort Global Opportunities worth £3.5m. That would leave S-Ventures as an investment company with shares in the acquirer. Sales for the 12 months to September 2023 were £17.4m, rising to the £21.6m in the 15 months to the end of 2023. Net debt was £7.1m at the end of September 2023. An additional £3m of loans have been agreed, including £1m from RiverFort Global Opportunities.
Marula Mining (MARU) has signed a long-term offtake agreement with Fujax UK for the Blesberg lithium and tantalum mine in South Africa. This an agreement for 100% of production until the end of 2026, with a minimum of 50,000 tonnes at a grade of 6% lithium. There is an option for a further three years. A mining right has been received from the authorities for the plans to expand the stockpile reprocessing operations.
Brewer Shepherd Neame (SHEP) improved like-for-like retail sales by 6.2%, although beer volumes fell 10.5% with own beer volumes down 16.7%. Overall, interim revenues grew 4% to £89m and underlying pre-tax profit was 10% ahead at £3.8m. The brewing division returned to profit. The interim dividend was 5% ahead at 4.2p/share. Beer volumes continue to decline, while the retail sales growth rate has slowed.
Gunsynd (GUN) shares rose 17.9% to 0.165p on the back of an institutional investor investing $1m ($750,000 in cash and $250,000 in support services) in the US spirits subsidiary of Rogue Baron (SHNJ), where it currently has a 17.45% stake. Rogue Baron has also raised £20,000 at 0.5p/share.
Aquis Stock Exchange owner Aquis Exchange (AQX) increased revenues from £19.9m to £23.7m, while pre-tax profit rose from £4.5m to £5.2m. The Aquis Stock Exchange revenues improved from £1.6m to £1.8m. The main growth came from technologies and data. Panmure Gordon forecasts 2024 pre-tax profit of £6.2m.
Macaulay Capital (MCAP) reported a fall in net assets from £1.44m to £1.36m at the end of 2023. There was an exit from the investment in Qualification Check which reduced the reported loss. There are seven portfolio companies. There is a pipeline of potential transactions.
Cadence Minerals (KDNC) says that the capital spending optimisation programme has been completed at the Amapa iron ore project. Savings of $63.2m have been identified and production could be 5% higher at 5.5 Mtpa of iron ore concentrate.
Supernova Digital Assets (SOL) has completed the acquisition of Hyperslot PTE for £225,000 in shares at 0.15p each. Andrew Offit increased his shareholding from 14.1% to 15.2%.

Capital equipment manufacturer Mpac (MPAC) had a stronger second half and revenues improved from £98m to £114m, while pre-tax profit recovered from £3.5m to £7.1m. There was growth in parts and services revenues. The order book was worth £72.5m at the end of the year. The customer base is being broadened. There should be further recovery this year.
Educational software and services provider Tribal Group (TRB) is still hampered by its dispute with NTU, which is currently in mediation. The failed bid for the company also held back sales to potential clients. Even so, annualised recurring revenues grew 13% to £15.1m. Full year revenues moved from £83.6m to £85.8m, while pre-tax profit recovered from £3.7m to £10.7m.
Roadside Real Estate (ROAD) shares soared 129% to 8p after it sold part of its stake in Cambridge Sleep Sciences to CGV Ventures 1 for £6m. The total stake cost £2.7m and Roadside Real Estate still owns 65%, having sold a 10% stake, so it still has to be consolidated. Management is considering selling the rest or demerging the company so that it can concentrate on its core property interests.
Digital media company XLMedia (XLM) is selling European and Canadian gaming assets to Gambling.com for an initial $37.5m with potential deferred consideration of $5m. Some of this cash may be paid out to shareholders. These assets generated 2023 revenues $21.4m and underlying EBITDA of $6.6m out of estimated group 2023 revenues of $50m and EBITDA of $12m. Pro forma net cash is likely to be around $35m, after taking account of deferred consideration of $4m payable for past acquisitions. Cavendish estimates that XL Media is worth £48m, including the cash.
Biodegradable and antimicrobial plastic additives developer Symphony Environmental Technologies (SYM) has raised £1.4m at 3.5p/share and will raise up to £500,000 more through a PrimaryBid retail offer. The issue price was well above the market price. Chief executive Michael Laurier is subscribing £105,000. Net debt was £740,000 at the end of February. The additional cash will fund the scale-up of the business and provide working capital during trials by potential customers.
Blue Star Capital (BLU) reported a slump in NAV from £11.4m to £5.33m at the end of 2023. That includes cash of £63,000. Writing down the valuations of Dynasty Media & Gaming and Sthaler were a large part of the decline in NAV. Another investee company, SatoshiPay, is undertaking a formal sales process. This stake is valued at £4.65m.
Live Company Group (LVCG) returned from suspension following the announcement of a planned refinancing and sale of majority interest in StartArt. Creditors are being settled in shares and a £1.77m convertible loan provided by the chairman, as well as converting some of his loan notes. A placing raised £352,000 at 1p/share. There could be more cash to come from strategic investors.
Digital payments business Boku (BOKU) increased 2023 revenues by 30% to $82.7m and they are expected to increase to $95m this year. The wallets business grew 153%, albeit from a lower base. The local payments network is being built up and will be a major factor in growth, especially as margins are better. The direct carrier billings business continues to grow and remains the main generator revenues for the time being. The company has more than $70m in cash.
Employee benefits and insurance provider Personal Group Holdings (PGH) reported slightly better 2023 figures than expected with revenues of £49.7m and pre-tax profit recovering to £5.9m. The dividend was raised from 10.6p/share to 11.7p/share. That is well covered by cash generation. Cash was £20.1m at the end of 2023. The insurance business did particularly well.
Three rail clients delaying orders has hit prospects for LPA Group (LPA) and it is unlikely to do any better than breakeven this year – a pre-tax profit of £800,000 was previously forecast on a 6% reduction in forecast revenues.
Light Science Technologies (LST) has received a grant worth £188,000 for a project involving the company’s SensorGROW technology.
Saturn Resources has increased its bid for Shanta Gold (SHG) to 14.85p/share, up from 13.5p/share, valuing the miner at £156.1m. Eligible shareholders will receive a dividend of 0.15p/share on 26 April.
Stem cell-based treatments developer ReNeuron (RENE) has failed to come to an agreement with creditors and the financial uncertain means that it has appointed administrators from Cork Gully. Negotiations continue with creditors and potential providers of finance.

Higher losses from the ReZorce recyclable packaging business masked progress at foams manufacturer Zotefoams (ZTF), where pre-tax profit moved up from £12.5m to £13.1m on flat revenues. That included an operating loss of £4.36m, up from £1.89m, from the MuCell Extrusion division that includes ReZorce. The total dividend is 7.18p/share.
Property investor Town Centre Securities (LSE: TOWN) managed to edge up its net tangible asset value to 286p/share at the end of 2023, due to the 150p/share tender offer last year. There was a 4% decline in property values. Loan to value has risen to 50.3%. The interim dividend is maintained at 2.5p/share.
TheWorks.co.uk (WRKS) is moving from the Main Market to AIM. The plan is to gain shareholder approval to move on 3 May. This should help to reduce costs.
Esken Ltd (ESKN) has appointed administrators from AlixPartners because its restructuring plan was no longer commercially viable. The restructuring of London Southend Airport will continue.
First Tin (1SN) says regional exploration confirmed upside potential at Pound Flat and Battery Hill prospects in the Taronga tin project.

Interim figures from DXS International (DXSP) show a 2.5% improvement in revenues to £1.69m, while higher amortisation charges led to an increased loss of £258,000. The healthcare IT company hade £386,000 in cash at the end of October 2023. Hybridan has trimmed its full year revenues forecast to £3.8m and expects a 2023-24 loss.
Silverwood Brands (SLWD) reported revenues of £5.85m for the first half of 2023. The loss was reduced from £299,000 to £189,000. The Lush transaction is still being unwound. Net debt was £8.6m. Chief executive Andrew Gerrie is subscribing £1m for shares at 54p each. The unsecured loan of £4.4m will be converted at the same price and the accrued interest will also be converted at the lower of 54p and the average closing price for five days prior to conversion. The share price is suspended at 30p.
Helium Ventures (HEV) had cash of £116,000 and net assets of £229,000 at the end of October 2023. There were costs relating to the cancelled acquisition of Trackimo. There is still an investment in Trackimo, which is expected to float on AIM.
Hydrogen Future Industries (HFI) had a cash outflow from operations of £963,000 in the year to July 2023. Cash was reduced to £262,000. The company is making progress with the testing of wind turbine technology and its electrolyser technology. The wind turbine technology has better performance, so far, than existing rivals. A mining sector feasibility study for hydrogen and clean water production has commenced.
Capital for Companies (CFCP) increased revenues from £492,000 to £887,000 in the year to August 2023. NAV was 81.99p/share. It was 81.67p/share at the end of November 2023. There was cash of £1.99m and loan receivables of £2.43m at the end of August 2023. A final dividend of 2p/share is payable on 8 March.
KR1 (KR1) had NAV of 109.91p/share at the end of 2023. Income from digital assets was £1.58m in December.
Shaun Hinds will become chief executive of Newbury Racecourse (NYR) on 3 June. Julian Thick has stepped down as chief executive. Mark Leigh will be interim chief executive.
Cadence Minerals (KNDR) investee company Hastings Technology Metals has signed an agreement with the investment agency of Estonia to collaborate on a joint scoping study for the potential development of downstream rare earth processing opportunities. The main focus is the Yangibana project.
Voyager Life (VOY) has acquired CBD brand Amphora Health for £50,000 in shares at 12p each. This payment could double if Amphora product sales exceed £100,000 over 24 months. In the year to July 2022, revenues were £69,000. No increase in group overheads will be required and manufacturing will be brought in house.
Quantum Exponential (QBIT) had net assets of £3.11m at the end of October 2023, including £831,000 in cash. There are seven portfolio investments. A European headquarters has been established in Copenhagen.
Psych Capital (PSY) had £133,000 in cash after a £254,000 cash outflow from operations in the six months to October 2023.

AIM
Tekcapital (TEK) investee company MicroSalt (LON: SALT) raised £3.14m at 43p/share when it joined AIM on 1 February and immediately went to a significant premium with the share price ending the week at 55p, valuing the company at £31.4m. That values the Tekcapital’s 77.2% stake at £24.2m, which is more than its market capitalisation.
Trading has recommenced in Location Sciences (LSAI) shares after the publication of readmission document for the proposed acquisition of Sorted Holdings for nominal consideration and the assumption of £4.7m of debt. Sorted Group has developed delivery software for ecommerce businesses. There will be a one-for-625 share consolidation and £2m will be raised at 87.5p/share. The company’s name will be changed to Sorted Group Holdings. The pre-consolidation share price recovered 35.7% to 0.19p – the placing price is the pre-consolidation equivalent of 0.14p.
Eyewear manufacturer Inspecs (SPEC) says the improvement in profit in 2023 was not as great as expected because of weak December trading. EBITDA is likely to rise from £15.5m to £18m, whereas £20m was the consensus forecast. Revenues were flat. Net debt was £24.3m. The results will be published on 17 April. A Norwegian distributor has been acquired and the new Vietnam factory opens in the first half of 2024.
Symphony Environmental Technologies (SYM) has failed to get the EU court to declare EU legislation invalid. This legislation relates to the d2w biodegradable technology, which is not included in the single-use plastic directive and the company says that this has hampered the take-up of the technology.
Respiration equipment supplier Inspiration Healthcare (IHC) had a poor fourth quarter and full year revenues will be £6m lower than expected at £37m, down from £41m the previous year. That will result in a full year loss. Net debt is higher than anticipated at £6.4m. There were contract delays for neonatal products. This business should happen in 2024-25 and a rebound to a pre-tax profit of £2.9m is forecast, although that is lower than the previous estimate of £4.7m.
Midlands-based property investor Real Estate Investors (RLE) has reduced net debt to £46.3m after property sales. Even so, NAV has fallen to 58.4p/share. There remains demand from buyers for smaller properties that are of no interest to institutions. Loan-to-value is currently a comfortable 31%. Executive pay is being cut by one-third.
Potash project developer Emmerson (EML) says the scoping study of the Khemisset potash project in Morocco has enhanced economic returns and reduced the environmental impact. This is based on a ground-breaking processing method, which reduces water consumption by 50%. It also increases the recovery rate. Post-tax NPV8 is increased by 120% to $2.2bn. Annual EBITDA could be $440m and all0in sustaining cost is $163/tonne. Project capex is $525m.
Education administration software and services provider Tribal Group (TRB) says 2023 revenues will be marginally ahead of expectations. Overall annual recurring revenues are 9% ahead at £54.5m. The dispute with Nanyang Technology University continues. Net debt was £7.2m at the end of 2023. Cost savings should help profit to improve. The 74p/share offer from Ellucian lapsed.
Transport management software provider Microlise (SAAS) did better than expected in 2023 and this has sparked upgrades for 2024. Full year revenues were 13% higher at £71.6m with annualised recurring revenues 11% ahead at £47.2m – churn rates are low. Pre-tax profit is estimated to have improved from £4.9m to £5.5m. In 2024, it could reach £6.7m. Microlise completed the acquisition of Enterprise Software Systems earlier this month.
Online gaming company B90 Holdings (B90) spent more on marketing than expected in 2023. Zeus has raised its estimated loss from €2.7m to €2.9m, but it has maintained its forecast 2024 pre-tax profit at €400,000.
MAIN MARKET
LED lighting and wiring accessories supplier Luceco (LUCE) did better than expected in the fourth quarter. Underlying 2023 pre-tax profit should be between £23.5m and £24m, up from £22m in 2022. The repair and maintenance market is still relatively weak, but Luceco is in a good position to benefit from an upturn.
Shell company Associated British Engineering (ASBE) had net assets of £469,000 at the end of September 2023, including £433,000 of cash.
Pendragon (PDG) has completed the sale of its motor dealerships, and it is concentrating on its software business.

Technology marketing start-up Inteliqo (IQO) generated income of more than $400,000 and pre-tax profit of $250,000 from the distribution rights of the Langaroo app, which has still to be launched on Google Play and the Apple app store.
Macaulay Capital (MCAP) has realised one of the five investments it took on from Chelverton Asset Management. Qualification Check B shares were bought by a trade buyer, and this will generate fees that will be shared by Macaulay Capital and Chelverton Asset Management. The net amount receivable by Macaulay Capital is £212,000.
Guanajuato Silver Company (GSVR) generated record production of 941,338 silver equivalent ounces in the second quarter and all-in sustaining cost was $22.47/ounce. Realised prices improved on the previous quarter. There was a small dip in net loss of $8.5m. Drill results from the Topia mine in Durango, Mexico have been promising.
Capital for Colleagues (LON: CFCP) investee company Bright Ascension provides software for the space sector, and it has been selected to lead onboard and ground software development for the three-year OS2-VOLT mission. This OS2-VOLT mission is being led by another investee company, Craft Prospect.
Marula Mining (MARU) has moved to the Apex section of the market. The construction of the initial modular processing plant for the Kinusi copper mine has been completed and is ready for transportation and commissioning.
Rogue Baron (SHNJ) raised £50,000 at 0.75p/share.
Coinsilium Group Ltd (COIN) chief executive Eddy Travia bought 1.5 million shares at 1.25p each.

AIM
Education software and services provider Tribal (TRB) reported a 2% increase in interim revenues even though the NTU project has been cancelled. Annualised recurring revenues are 3% ahead at £51.9m. The NTU project is still the subject of dispute, but there will be no more non-legal costs. The second half is expected to be better and pre-tax profit is forecast to recover from £3.7m to £9.1m.
Loyalty technology provider Eagle Eye (EYE) has revealed that a previously announced three-year contract is with department stores operator Hudson Bay Company, which was formed in the seventeenth century and who’s backers included Prince Rupert. Hudson Bay Company will relaunch its digital loyalty programme using Eagle Eye technology.
Fulcrum Utility Services (FCRM) intends to seek shareholder approval to leave AIM. This announcement followed the release of full year figures showing an increased loss. The utility infrastructure business reported a £25.7m loss on a 18% decrease in revenues to £50.6m. Even excluding write-downs and restructuring charges there was a loss.
Compliance and maintenance services provider Kinovo (KINO) revealed a non-binding bid approach from Rx3 Holdings, which the bid target said was at 56p/share. Management says that the offer is at the lower end of board expectations. Rx3 has confirmed that the offer price will be at least 40p/share, because 29.9% shareholder Tipacs2 Ltd recently bought shares at that price from Western Selection (WESP).
Wellhead equipment supplier Plexus Holdings (POS) says a £5m rental contract for POS-GROP HG wellhead equipment and sealing technology announced in March has been increased in value to £8m. These revenues will be recognised in the year to June 2024, which should enable Plexus to move into profit. The 2021-22 revenues were £2.31m and they are expected to decline in 2022-23.
Bivictrix Therapeutics (BVX) has been granted a US patent for lead asset BVX001 and it expects to gain a Japanese patent in a few weeks. BVX001 is an antibody drug conjugate than targets leukaemia.
Cake Box (CBOX) reported like-for-like sales growth of 6.8% in the first 17 weeks of the financial year. That represents an acceleration of growth in recent weeks as marketing is stepped up. There are 212 outlets with scope for more. After paying the final dividend there is £6m in the bank.
Redx Pharma (REDX) says zelasudil (RXC007), an oral, selective Rho Associated Coiled-Coil Containing Protein Kinase 2 (ROCK2) inhibitor, has received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA for the potential treatment of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). The treatment is being used in a phase 2a clinical study for IPF and data is expected in the first quarter of next year. IPF is a disease of the lungs which progressively causes scarring and a reduction in lung function.
Neometals (NMT) says battery recycling joint venture Primobius has received an order for 10 tonne/day of lithium-ion battery recycling spoke with Mercedes. The facility will recover lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese and other materials and feed them back into production of 50,000 batteries for new Mercedes vehicles. This is important because it will help the joint venture to gain credibility and win more business.
Cybersecurity firm Shearwater Group (SWG) has delayed publication of its full year results due to audit delays. They are set to be published on 5 September. On a brighter note, delayed contracts have been received in the first quarter of the new financial year. Market conditions are becoming more favourable.
Coro Energy (CORO) has sold its 18.76% stake in ion Ventures for £1.25m in cash, of which £250,000 is deferred until March 2024. The book value was $259,000.
MAIN MARKET
Graft Polymer (UK) (GPL) signed a manufacturing services agreement for production of haemostatic wound care products. The partner is in the Israel pharma market and the Graft Bio facility will provide manufacturing services for the partner’s patented haemostatic powder. This changes from a self-emulsifying powder to a gel when coming into contact with blood, thereby helping to clot the blood effectively.
Ferro-Alloy Resources (FAR) warns that problems with the delivery of concentrate material to its secondary processing facility will hit third quarter results. This follows record second quarter vanadium, molybdenum and nickel production.
Zamaz (ZAMZ) is changing its name to Dispensa, although the strategy remains the same. It will acquire growing, speciality food brands.
Ashington Innovation (ASHI) has signed heads of terms for the acquisition of Calon Cardio-Technology. Calon is developing a left ventricular asset device, an implantable heart pump for patients with severe heart failure.
Mode Group Holdings (MODE) is changing its name to R8 Capital.

Ian Pollard – Rank #RNK raises dividend after year of decline and disappointment
Rank Group RNK the year to the 30th June was a year of decline and disappointment which for some reason has left the Board full of confidence. The results are in line with the Boards expectations but only expectations which had been revised during the year. For Grosvenor Casinos the year was a challenging one but Mecca’s performance by contrast beat expectations. Profit before tax and earnings per share for the year both fell by 6.3% although on a statutory basis the fall in profit was much steeper at 41.4%. A company-wide transformation programme is only in its development phase but the new Chief Executive says he is moving quickly to identify the key priorities. The disappointment has not been allowed to spread to the final dividend which contrary to the other statistics is to be increased by 2.1%.
Marshalls plc MSLH produced strong revenue growth in the 6 months to the end of June and the interim dividend is to be increased by 18%. Revenue and profit before tax both rose by 12%, basic earnings per share by 10% and EBITDA by 13%. In June and July, however growth became even stronger with revenue rising by 21%.
Kingfisher KGF updates that second quarter group like for like sales to the end of July rose by 1.6% and on a reported basis by 3.4%. The Chief Executive claims that the company is now on track to deliver its strategic milestones for the third year in a row, helped by good recoveries at both B&Q and Screwfix. For once the UK & Ireland is not the laggard with screwfis sales rising by 11.8%, still someway behind Germany with a rise of 26.6%
Filtronic plc FTC experienced another year of strong demand for its products. For the year to the end of May profit before tax rose from 1.2m to 2.2m and basic earnings per share from 0.59p to 1.51p per share after sales revenue rose from £24m. to £35.4m. Two major contracts were secured during the course of the year and the company was also approved as a vendor by a major US mobile network operator.
Tribal Group TRB has completed the first phase of the turnaround started in 2016 and for the half year to the 30th June, despite a small fall in revenue, earnings per share rose by 76% and and statutory profit after tax by 83%. Market share has been gained in its core markets.

ISDX
Brewer Shepherd Neame (SHEP) reported a lower brewing profit but this was made up for by a higher contribution from managed pubs in the six months to December 2015. However, the National Living Wage and other costs will increase by £1.1m in the next financial year and management is cautious about the prospects for consumer spending. Revenues were flat at £73.7m but underlying pre-tax profit improved from £4.73m to £5.07m, helped by lower interest costs. There was also a property disposal profit of £3.6m. Net debt was reduced to £61.4m thanks to disposal proceeds.
Electrical and control systems supplier Field Systems Design Holdings (FSD) had a much stronger six months to November 2015 thanks to additional work from the energy from waste incineration sector. Longer-term, demand from the water sector should build up. There was a jump in revenues from £5.51m to £8.31m, while pre-tax profit improved from £11,000 to £91,000. There was £1.1m in the bank at the end of November 2015. At 15.5p (14p/17p) a share, Field is valued at £900,000.
Energy efficiency products supplier Sandal (SAND) moved back into profit in the six months to November 2015. Overall revenues were flat at £1.66m, although there were much higher sales of Energenie products, while a loss of £129,000 was turned into a profit of £7,000 thanks to lower overheads. Sandal has completed its investment in the Energie MiHome range with ongoing investment focused on linking up with Hive and other smart devices for the home. There was £398,000 in the bank at the end of November 2015.
Leni Gas Cuba Ltd (CUBA) has made two new investments in Cuban businesses. The first is a 49% stake in entertainment consultancy Cuba Professionals Inc for an investment of €180,000 over nine months. A short-term working capital facility of €200,000 will also be prfinance ovided. This cash will go towards a larger office in Havana and recruiting additional staff. The other investment is a 15.8% stake in Australian company MEO Australia Ltd, which is focused on Cuban oil exploration. The £730,000 investment will be used to finance exploration in onshore block 9 in Cuba, where another one of the company’s investments, Petro Australis has and interest. Non-executive director Darren Smith has bought 250,000 shares at 0.8p each. That takes his stake to 4 million shares. Smith did not buy any shares in the subscription at 5p a share when the company joined ISDX. The share price has fallen back to 0.9p (0.8p/1p).
Via Developments (VIA1) has raised a total of £2.5m from ten placings of 7% debenture stock since joining ISDX. Two residential property acquisitions have been made in Manchester and Luton.
Ganapati (GANP) is still attempting to obtain a licence from the Gaming Commission and there have been further delays so the company will require additional cash. Ganapati also needs to further develop its BUZZPOP app and this means that there will be no revenues from the app until 2017. There will be a write-down of intangible assets as a consequence. The share price was unchanged at 60p (50p/70p).
Doriemus (DOR) plans to leave AIM and move to ISDX. This follows the decision to buy a further 60.56% of Greenland Oil & Gas. This means that a reverse takeover will not be completed by 14 March and the AIM quotation will be cancelled. The oil and gas-focused investment company should start trading on ISDX on 15 March.
Cyber security technology commercialisation company Crossword Cybersecurity (CCS) is linking up with the University of Surrey in order to explore opportunities for commercially exploiting technology for advanced information hiding. The university has developed a way of encoding information into the normal ebb and flow of computer systems. A patent has been filed for this research and the plan is to develop a platform that can use the technology.
AIM
Shell company 3Legs Resources (3LEG) has announced details of the reverse takeover of SalvaRx and plans to raise £1.95m at 35.5p a share – post a 100:1 share consolidation. SalvaRx is an immunotherapy business and it owns 60.5% of iOx, which is developing under lice compounds for cancer immunotherapy. The cash raised will help to finance the first human clinical trials, which are being sponsored by Oxford University, for iOx’s lead compound based on invariant natural killer T cells. SalvaRx has invested £510,000 in iOx and is committed to put in a further £1.33m. 3Legs had already acquired 11.1% of SalvaRx, at a cost of £215,000, last September. The rest of the shares will be swapped for 3Legs shares valuing them at £8.8m. New chairman Jim Mellon and his associates will end up with 73% of 3Legs, whose name will be changed to SalvaRx Group.
Property investor Palace Capital (PLA) has bought an office block in Milton Keynes, near to the railway station, for £7.2m. The near-fully let building generates net income of £550,000 a year. This deal will immediately enhance earnings per share and there is potential to increase rents in the short-term.
Sutton Harbour (SUH) has renewed and extended its bank facilities. A new £25m, three year facility with RNS will replace the £22.5m facility due to expire in October. Finance costs are not expected to change significantly. The enlarged facility plus the rolling £550,000 asset lease financing facility will provide more headroom for Sutton Harbour to push ahead with property developments and invest in the harbour infrastructure.
NWF (NWF) has boosted its agricultural business through the acquisition of ruminant feed manufacturer Jim Peet, which supplies 500,000 tonnes a year to cattle and sheep farmers in northern England and south west Scotland, where NWF wants to grow its exposure. There are two factories near Carlisle and Wigton and they fit well geographically with NWF’s existing facilities.
Advanced ultrasound training simulators developer Medaphor (MED) says that its US subsidiary has signed a long-term agreement with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) for the use of its ScanTrainer as the simulator for its obstetrics and gynecology certification exams. ABOG undertakes 2,000 examinations each year. This provides additional confirmation of the usefulness of the technology.
MAIN MARKET
Investment company Athelney Trust (ATY) increased its net asset value by 7.5% to 245p a share last year. The final dividend is being increased by 18% to 7.9p a share on the back of this growth. During the year, Athelney acquired new stakes in two REITs, Safestyle UK, Samuel Heath and Low & Bonar amongst others, while also adding to existing holdings including Begbies Traynor, Juridica Investments and Quarto Group. The disposal of stakes in GLI Finance and Plus500 appears to have been well timed, while Catlin and Nationwide Accident Repair were taken over. There was a dip in the NAV to 235.8p a share by the end of January but that is not surprising given the weak stockmarket. Athelney says that it would not be surprised to see small caps outperforming larger companies again. The original investors in Athelney back in 1994 have enjoyed an annual return of 15.8% net of basic rate tax on their original investment.
Global Resources Investment Trust (GRIT) is changing its strategy to become a more direct investor in resources businesses. This is because it is in default for its 9% convertible loan notes. Prime Star Energy FZE is subscribing £3.9m at 2p a share and RDP Fund Management £1.5m at the same price. There is also an open offer raising up to £300,000 at 2p a share. However, the final proposals are still not agreed and the board is in discussions with the main parties. The company name will be changed to Global Resources International.
Education software and services provider Tribal Group (TRB) is selling its Synergy children;s services management information systems business to Servelec for £20.25m in cash. The business generated EBITDA of £2.3m in 2015. The disposal cash will be used to reduce the requirement for funds in the previously announced rights issue. The plan is to raise up to £21m and the terms will be announced later this month when the 2015 figures are announced. Ian Bowles took over as chief executive on 1 March. There had been plans to move back to AIM but no mention was made of this.
