The Company’s current focus is on the exploration of the Tannenberg Copper Project and the Arctic Rift Copper (ARC) Project.
The Tannenberg Copper Project in Germany is highly prospective for sediment-hosted (Kupferschiefer type) copper deposits. In August 2024, GreenX entered into an Earn-In Agreement, allowing GreenX to acquire a 90% interest in the Tannenberg exploration licence.
The Arctic Rift Copper (ARC) Project in Greenland is being developed in partnership with Greenfields Exploration Limited (GEX), a private exploration company. In October 2021, GreenX Metals entered into an Earn-In Agreement with GEX which will see the Company acquire an 80% interest in the Project through spending A$10.0 million over five years.
ARC is GreenX Metals’ first entry into the clean-tech metals arena at a time when global focus is on lowering emissions and decarbonisation. Simply, there is no decarbonisation without copper – vital to numerous solutions for controlling climate change.
In October 2024, GreenX was awarded up to £252 million (A$517 million/PLN 1.2 billion) in compensation from the successful outcome of the international arbitration claims (Claim) against the Republic of Poland (Poland or Respondent) under both the Australia-Poland Bilateral Investment Treaty (BIT) and the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT).
